Emergency crews were called to the report of an unresponsive teen at a home in the 1400 block of Doris Street on January 23rd at around 4:18pm.

Paramedics located Corde Scott, 15, and rushed him to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Police said he had suffered trauma to his neck.

According to reports, the teen became involved in an altercation with his stepfather allegedly wrapped his hands around Scott’s neck.

The victim’s step-father Tyresse Minter, 28, has been charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide.
