15-year-old fatally shot at a Brooklyn park near his high school

NYPD responded to a 911 call regarding a 15-year-old shot at McLaughlin Park on September 7th at approximately 1:43pm.

On arrival police located Unique Smith, suffering from one gunshot wound to the chest. he was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he later died of his injuries. 

Police said it was a fist fight that broke out that led to the shooting. Police said the suspects fled eastbound on Tillary Street towards Adams Street on foot.
