Police were called to the report of a stabbing in the area of Queens Boulevard and 46th Street in Sunnyside at approximately 9:25 p.m. on May 8th.

On arrival police located 17-year-old Sara Rivera of Jackson Heights suffering from a neck wound. She was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst where she was pronounced deceased.

An unidentified 15-year-old girl was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
