NYPD were called to a shooting at 762 Cauldwell Ave. in Melrose around 4:15 p.m. on March 7th.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Laquai Dash, 17, suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck inside the building. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Police arrested a 17-year-old suspect on March 12th, and charged his with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
