NYPD responded to a 911 report of a “violent emotionally disturbed person” with a knife inside the home on 230th Street at around 12:45 a.m on June 8th.
On arrival police located Arthur E. Walker, 19, with a knife. He attempted to barricade himself in the home, however, Police tased the teen and took him to Long Island Jewish Hospital for an evaluation.
The accused’s father 60-year-old dad, Arthur Walker, was found inside the home suffering from stab wounds to his chest. He was rushed to Jamaica University Hospital Medical Center where he died of his injuries.
The teen was later charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Investigators said the father and son do not have a history of domestic incidents.
