FDNY Marine Units pulled a 42-year-old unconscious and unresponsive man from the Hudson River on August 23rd at approximately 5:00pm in the area of West 158^th Street and Riverside Drive.

The man had suffered head trauma and was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he was pronounced deceased.

NYPD said they arrested Miguel Cortez, 19, of the Bronx, who allegedly hit the victim in the head with a rock, causing him to fall into the water.
