NYPD responded to a 911 report of a shooting at a public housing complex in the area of Myrtle Avenue and St. Edwards Street in Fort Greene on April 21st at around 11:00pm.

On arrival police and paramedics located 21-year-old Rmeek Lucas, with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and right leg. He was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where he died of his injuries. A firearm was recovered at the scene.

A 22-year-old suspect was taken into custody, and charges against him are pending.
