NYPD were called to the report of a shooting at 1430 Amsterdam Ave on December 24th at approximately 5:47 p.m.

On arrival, police located a 23-year-old man inside the building with a bullet wound to his torso. He was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside St. Luke’s Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Police are withholding the victim’s identity pending family notification.

No arrests have been made, and no suspect information has been provided at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
