25-year-old man fatally stabbed in the chest in broad daylight

NYPD responded to the report of a stabbing outside 1385 Stebbins Avenue in Foxhurst on March 5th at approximtely 1:30pm.

On arrival police and paramedics located the victim, suffering from a stab wound to the left side of his chest. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Update, the victim has been identified as Spicer Demarra, 25. As a result of the investigation Jesus Reyes, 41 has been arrested and charged with:

  • murder;
  • manslaughter
  • criminal possession of a weapon.
