NYPD responded to the report of an altercation at 1691 East New York Ave at the Days Inn that has been operating as a shelter on Dec. 26th at approximately 6:14 p.m.

On arrival police located a 35-year-old man who is reportedly an employee of the shelter, in the lobby, suffering from multiple stabbing injuries. He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
