Police were called to an apartment at 132-18 57th Road on May 22nd at approximately 2:00am.

According to reports a man jumped from balcony to balcony on the third floor before entering an apartment where a man and his wife were sleeping. The woman ran out of the apartment screaming while her husband argued with the assailant. The altercation ended with the 35-year-old victim being fatally stabbed in his bed.

Police arrived to find the suspect in the back of the building. Police said he resisted arrest and was shocked him with a Taser.

It is unknown if the victim and suspect were known to each other.
