The NYC 2022 Homicide Victim List is available here

NYPD responded to the report of shots fired in the area of 221st Street and 94th Drive, in Queens Village on May 25th at 10:14pm.

On arrival police located 37-year-old Snealing Melendez, suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso in front of 94-55 221st Street. The Victim was rushed to North Shore University Hospital-Manhasset where he was pronounced deceased.

Police said the suspect fled the scene in a silver Nissan SUV. No arrests have been made.

Update: NYPD announced on July 7th that Damere Ellison, 28, was arrested on Bushwick Avenue in Brooklyn and charged him with murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in relation to the murder of Melendez.
