The NYC 2022 Homicide Victim List is available here

Police responded to a shooting at Van Nest Avenue and Melville Street on December 26th at approximately 9:08pm.

On arrival police located a 39-year-old man suffering from a bullet wound to his chest. He was rushed to  Jacobi Hospital, where he died of his injuries. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Police are searching for a suspect who has been described as a Black man wearing black clothing and a red bandana. Anyone with information regarding the murder can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
