NYPD responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at E. 149th Street and Third Avenue subway station on August 24, 2024, at approximately 3:20 pm.
On arrival police located Nigel Dumas, suffering from a stab wound to his torso. According to reports, the victim was the one who started the altercation.
Shane Cunnison, 37, has been arrested and charged with manslaughter.
