NYPD responded to the report of a shooting at a building within the Ebbets Field apartment complex at 1680 Bedford Ave. in Flatbush, on January 28th at approximately 5:34pm. Police were alerted by residents who spotted the injured man near the entrance to an elevator.

On arrival police located a 44-year-old man outside the elevator on the 11th floor, with gunshot wounds to his head and arm. The victim was rushed to hospital wherehe died of his injuties. The victims identity is being witheld pending next of kin notification.

No arrests have been made and police have not released any suspect information.
