The NYC 2022 Homicide Victim List is available here

NYPD responded to an an assault in progress at an apartment on Noble Ave. near Mansion St. in Van Nest around 4:30 a.m on Fenruary 16th.

On arrival police located 45-year-old Flora Elasia Recio Noble sprawled out on the floor, and suffering to stab wounds all over her body. The victim was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where she died of her injuries.

Police said the suspect is believed to be a former partner who is the father of the victim’s child fled the scene and has not been captured by authorities. The child was not present at the time of the attack.

 Exiquio Castillo, 47, surrendered himself to police later in the day, he has been charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
