49 year-old man fatally shot in the head outside of a playground near NYCHA’s St. Mary’s Houses

NYPS were called to a playground near NYCHA’s St. Mary’s Houses at 700 East 156th Street on August 19th at approximately 4:15pm.

Police located a 49-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was rushed to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Police said no arrets have been made at this time.
