NYPD responded to a stabbing at 140 Graham Ave., at the Garden Bar and Grill, on February 10th at 1:08 a.m. 

On arrival police located 61-year-old Laurence Hopkins, a bouncer, suffering from a stab wound to the neck. He was rushed to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

According to reports Hopkins got involved with two patrons who intentionally blocked a female employee, and shouting turned into shoving. Hopkins tried to de-escalate the situation when he was stabbed.
