NYPD responded to the report of a stabbing on November 28th at Dorothy Ross Friedman Residence on West 57th Street.
Police said a 71-year-old Joseph Pescitelli was located in the apartment bathtub covered in blood with stab wounds to his back and arm. He was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he was pronounced deceased.
The accused Michael Pinder, 70, was taken to hospital to be treated for slash wounds to his hands and chest. According to reports,Pescitelli was the initial aggressor, and Pinder was released without bail after claiming he acted in self-defense.
