NYPD said 71-year-old Hbrad Boonshaft and a 15-year-old boy had a verbal encounter outside 2 Bros Pizza that resulted in the teen hitting Boonshaft on September 15th at around 4:00pm.

Boonshaft was rushed to Bellevue Hospital with a subdural hematoma where he died of his injuries on Sunday, Oct. 30th.

The teen was arrested and was originally charged with assault on a victim over 65. The medical examiner has since ruled the death of Boonshaft a homicide. Police have not said if his charges will be upgraded.
