A date ends in a fatal stabbing in Manhattan

NYPD were called to an apartment at 232 East 95th St on September 22nd at approximately 1:30 p.m.

On arrival police located a man unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Police said a second man age 27, was found suffering from non-life-threatening lacerations.

According to AMNY “it’s believed that the two men had met via an online dating website and gathered together Sunday inside the apartment. But during the meetup, the source said, the pair got into some kind of argument, which escalated into violence.”

Police said the men attacked eachother with knives, with the 27-year-old claiming self-defense.

Charges are pending.
