NYPD responded to a 911 call of a child at Eagle Avenue on August 10, at around 9:12 p.m.
On arrival, police located an unresponsive 4-month-old Ariel Gonzalez. The baby was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased. Police said there were no visible signs of trauma at the time of his death.
On November 14th the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner deemed the boy’s death a homicide. The cause of death has not been released.
