NYPD were called to 69-56 Grand Ave. on March 30th at approximately 6:34 p.m. where they located 41-year-old Sarah Mcnally with a knife wound to her neck.

The male suspect Mcnally’s boyfriend Marcin Pieciak, was found nearby with wounds to his neck and back. Following an investigation, Police believe the Pieciak’s wounds were self-inflicted. Both were rushed to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition where Mcnally died of her injuries.

Pieciak is charged with murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. 

Police believe the attack happened because Mcnally planned on returning to her native Ireland.
