A deadly shooting took place just before midnight on September 11th at approximately 11:50pm outside an apartment building on Lexington Avenue in Brooklyn.

According to police, 28-year-old Shyhemm Lee was shot in the head and later died from his injuries at Kings County Hospital. A 23-year-old woman at the scene was also hit, grazed in the neck by a bullet, but is expected to recover and remains in stable condition.

When detectives arrived, they discovered a scooter abandoned on the sidewalk and several shell casings littering the street, marking the aftermath of the violence.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
