NYPD responded to a 911 call just after 1:40 p.m., reporting a shooting near 135-22 97th Street on June 29th.

When police arrived, they found the victim inside the vehicle, slumped over and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene. The victim was later identified as 32-year-old Mujibullah Ghulamhazrat, a resident of Camino Rabago in Temecula, California.

As of Tuesday, police have not identified a motive for the shooting. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
