NYPD responded to a 911 call of a family dispute inside of 165 East 112th Street on April 15th at approximately 6:23 a.m.

Police and paramedics arrived to find 32-year-old Marisol Duran suffering from multiple stab wound. She was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Metropolitan, where she was pronounced deceased.

Police said three children were at the home at the time of the homicide.

Carmelo Castillo, 36, the victim’s boyfriend, was arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.
