NYPD said 58-year-old Curtis Rippe was involved in an argument with two men in their 20s at the gas station on Horace Harding Expressway in Queens on May 12th shortly before midnight.
Police and paramedics arrived to find Rippe suffering from a stab wound to the torso. He was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Queens where he was pronounced deceased.
Police said The victim had been living out of his car at the time of his murder.
A 26-year-old man was taken into custody as a person of interest, however, police have not announced if any charges have been laid.
