NYPD responded to the report of a stabbing at 2525 Grand Ave on April 28th at approximately 11:07 p.m.
On arrival police located Dwayne Valentine, 40, suffering from a stab wound to the chest.
According to the NYPD, Cynthia Phillips was formally charged on April 29th with murder, manslaughter, and illegal possession of a weapon.
