NYPD said a shooting occurred on a northbound Q train traveling across the Manhattan Bridge around 11:45am on May 22nd. The victim, 48-year-old Daniel Enriquez, was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. Police said the attack was unprovoked.
According to reports, the suspect who is described as a dark-skinned, heavyset man with a beard was observed pacing back and forth in the last car of the northbound Q train before opening fire and fleeing the train at the Canal Street stop. The suspect then handed off the gun to a homeless man, who in turn sold it to a third person for $10, who reported it to authorities.
According to abc7NY, Police 25-year-old Brooklyn resident with about 20 prior arrests, including an outstanding gun charge from last year. He also has prior arrests for assault, robbery, menacing and grand larceny.
No arrests have been made at this time, however, investigators are looking to speak with a 25-year-old Brooklyn man with around 20 prior arrests, including an outstanding gun charge from last year.
