NYPD were called to 641 Crown St. in Crown Heights at approximately 7:00pm on February 17th.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Steven Beckles, 45, with a stab wound to his chest. He was rushed to Kings County hospital where he died of his injuries.

The victim’s roommate Denie Baptiste, 40, surrendered to police and has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
