Denzel Chan of Spring, TX was killed and several injured at the Brooklyn West Indian American Day Parade

NYPD said the mass shooting occurred at around 2:35 p.m. on Sept. 2 at 307 Eastern Parkway on the parade route.

Police said 5 people were injured in the shooting, a 16-year-old boy, a 36-year-old man, a 64-year-old man, a 69-year-old woman and 25-year-old Denzel Chan of Spring, TX, who died of his injuries at Kings County Hospital. 

Police believe the shooter had a target, but who that target was still has to be determined.
