NYPD responded to a shooting on January 12th at approximately 12:55 p.m at 837 Utica Ave.

On arrival police located a man in his 20’s inside a Dollar Van, suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police have not said if there were any customers on board at the time of the shooting. Investigators believe a heated dispute between two dollar van drivers may have been the trigger for the shooting.

No arrests have been made, however police said the suspect fled the scene in a white van. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
