NYPD were called to the report of a naked man bleeding in the courtyard of a luxury Upper East Side building on  East 79th on July 19th at approximately 10:30am.

Police located Doug Solomon, 26, deceased, and upon further investigation police located Diane Gallagher, 65, deceased in her 16th floor apartment bedroom with head trauma. Police said Solomon beat his mother with a piece of furniture, and his cause of death was consistent with falling from an elevated position.

Doug Solomon is the son of retired Manhattan Supreme Court judge Charles Solomon. Police said they are investigating the deaths as a murder suicide.
