NYPD responded to a report of an assault in progress inside of an apartment, at 1011 Sheridan Avenue on March 7th at approximately 7:45am.

Police arrived to find Edwin Acevedo, 30, suffering from stabbing injuries to the abdomen. Acevedo was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1–800–577–TIPS.
