Police said Elijah Lucaine was driving his Infiniti Q50 on March 13th when authorities attempted to pull him over. Instead, Lucaine fled police, and struck an Acura RDX that was driven by 56-year-old David Brian Ellis at the intersection of Crown Street and Nostrand Avenue.

Both men were rushed to hospital where Ellis had a medical episode during his treatment and died a few days later.

On June 28th the District Arrtourny office charged Lucaine with second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, as well as other infractions.
