We have wanted to do this for a while, but we are starting to track homicides in New York City. Ideally we will have a post about every murder, though at the start it will likely have only basic information like age, gender and whether it is a shooting, stabbing or some other cause of death. There will also be a monthly post summarizing the statistics of the homicides for month.

Eventually as a complete calendar year is completed, we will keep publish yearly statistics and compare previous years to the year to date annualized statistics. Hopefully you will find it interesting.
