Police were called to the report of a stabbing at 25 Elizabeth St. on January 11th at around 8:00pm.

On arrival police and paramedics located Nicholas Nelson, 37, suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center where he died of his injuries.

According to reports Nelson had become involved in an argument while walking with his kid. Nelson then returned to the argument after dropping off his kid and was stabbed.

Police are searching for a suspect, described as male, dressed in all black and a ski mask, who fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Eric Wilson 26, has been arrested and charged with the murder of Nicholas Nelson. Police said the fight started when Wilson tried to open Nelson’s car door while his son was inside. Nelson took his son home to his mother when Wilson called Nelson to come out. When Nelson came outside he was stabbed in the neck.
