NYPD responded to a shooting in the area of East 187th Street and Tiebout Avenue at approximately 8:53 p.m. on March 30th.

On arrival police located two injured men.  25-year-old Frankelis Tavarez was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, and a second man suffering from a gunshot wound to his stomach and backside. Both men were rushed to the hospital where Tavarez died of his injuries.
