NYPD responded to a 911 call report of a person who was stabbed in the area of West 44th Street and 8th Avenue on August 26th at approximately 12:57am.

Police and emergency crews arrived to find Guarionex Torres, 49, suffering from stab wounds to the neck and groin. He was rushed to NYC Health & Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was pronounced deceased.

Jesus Ramirez, 28, was taken into police custody and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
