NYPD announced that they are investigating a homicide that occurred on January 24 in East Flatbush. Law enforcement sources confirmed that around 11:40 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting an emergency at an apartment building located at 333 East 92nd Street.

On arrival police located a 45-year-old woman in a hallway, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Despite efforts to save her, she was later pronounced dead at Brookdale University Hospital.

A person of interest has been taken in for questioning. While details are still emerging, police believe the stabbing was related to a domestic altercation.
