NYPD 28 Pricinct officers responded to a 911 report of a shooting on July 23rd at approximately 12:36am at 146 West 124th St.

On arrival police located James Johnson, 35, of West 123rd Street suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators said Johnson, was playing a game of dice with in front of 146 West 124th St when an argument escalated and Johnson was shot.

The suspect fled the scene and no arrests have been made at this time.
