The NYC 2023 Homicide Victim List is available here

NYPD responded to an assault in progress in front of Kelly’s Bar at 136-11 41st St on September 24th at around 10pm.

On arrival police located Elliot Ortiz, 45, unconscious and unresponsive with a stab wound to his head outside the bar. He was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police said Jason Schuler, 39, was also transported to hospital with stab wounds to his back. Once he was listed in stable condition police arrested him, and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
