Police responded to the report of an assault at 820 Henderson Ave on January 7th at approximately 7:30 p.m. 

On arrival police and EMS located Jennira Roundtree, 43, suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center where she died of her injuries.

Update: 25-year-old Jasmin Thompson surrendered to police on January 13th, and charged with murder, manslaughter, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.

According to reports the attack happened when Roundtree attempted to save her teen daughter from a brawl with approximately 20 teens.
