NYPD were called to a shooting in the 200 block of Quincy Avenue on April 13th at approximately 4:47 a.m.

On arrival police located Jeremy Ortega, 24, suffering from two gunshot wounds to his chest. He was rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where he died of his injuries. According to reports, Ortega was shot steps away from his home.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
