Police were called to a house party in the 400 block of Van Siclen Avenue on February 17th at approximately 12:47 a.m.

On arrival Police and paramedics located Jermaine Morant, 44, suffering from a stab wound to his chest. He was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

According to The Daily News “He was released on parole on Nov. 27 after serving more than two years in state prison for a Brooklyn conviction of attempted possession of a gun.”
