NYPD responded to a 911 call of a man shot in front of an apartment building at 106-15 Waltham St on August 5th.

On arrival police and EMS located Julian Askew, 29, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center for treatment.

Police said Askew was recuperating from his injuries at home when he had to be rushed back to hospital where he died of his injuries on Monday, Nov. 14th.
