Kevin Gomes charged with manslaughter in relation to the death of 3-year-old Quintus Chen

According to reports on November 29th, at approximately 6:39 p.m., surveillance shows that Kevin Gomez, 20, parked his vehicle in a No Standing Zone in front of 41-04 College Point Blvd. and went into the Dunkin Donuts.

When he returned to his vehicle and struck Quintus Chen, 3, (video surveillance footage shows that the child’s head cleared the top of the car’s hood and he would have been visible to the driver). Gomez then dragged the child approximately 10 feet before driving off.

3-year-old Quintus Chen sustained severe head and neck trauma and was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Gomez was arrested the following day and has been charged on a 14-count indictment for manslaughter, and criminally negligent homicide.
