NYPD were called to Throggs Neck Expressway service road at approximately 6:10 p.m on November 30th.

According to police Omar Lamoni and his half-brother Edwin Nina, allegedly confronted Kristopher Samaroo, 30, outside of his home over unpaid rent. During the confontation Lamoni the tenant’s landlord punched Samaroo while he held his 2 month old child. Nina allegedly then beat Samaroo with a baseball bat.

The victims wife called 911 and Samaroo was rushed him to Jacobi Hospital with severe trauma across his body. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Lamoni has been charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child, while Nina is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Homicide charges are pending according to police.
