NYPD were called to an apartment at 615 West 144 Street in Hamilton Heights on June 10 at approximately 10:15pm.

On arrival police located Lanilda Nuez, 79, in the bedroom, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Lanilda was rushed to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Police recovered two knives at the scene.

The victim’s 68-year-old husband was arrested and police said his charges are pending.
