NYPD said Malik Bright, 22, was shot in the back of the head while he walked past the entrance of Mullaly Park at East 164th Street and River Avenue on May 11th at approximately 6:45pm.

He was taken to Lincoln Medical Center where he died of his injuries on May 13th.

Police said Bright was injured in a Sept. 7, 2021 shooting that claimed the life of 27-year-old Tysheem Ceruti.
